SERVICE
We design, build and modernize enterprise applications, combining UX/UI experience design, software engineering, architecture, integration and cloud. Through Holistic Strategy Lab we bring the human perspective in, from design through to technical implementation.
We bring in artificial intelligence when it improves productivity, documentation or testing, always with review, quality control and traceability. The goal isn’t to deliver a new screen: it’s for your organization to decide and operate differently.
Modernization without stopping the operation
We work on systems already in production with progressive strategies: refactoring, replatforming and selective architectural redesign.
Less technical debt
We reduce complexity, dependence on obsolete technology and the future cost of maintenance.
Architecture built to scale
We design for scalability, availability, security and integration with the technology ecosystem you already have.
Shorter development cycles
Engineering practices, automation and controlled use of artificial intelligence to move faster without sacrificing quality.
User experience that actually gets adopted
UX/UI design comes in from the start so the solution actually gets used and delivers the value expected.
We start from the business challenge and the real state of the applications: architecture, integrations, data, technical debt and user experience. We decide whether it is best to evolve, modernize in stages or rebuild, and we execute with teams that know demanding enterprise environments.
Our approach aims to reduce technical debt, increase maintainability, improve scalability, ease integration, modernize architecture, take advantage of cloud, shorten development cycles and improve user experience, through the following solutions:
Holistic Strategy Lab is the design unit of Asesoftware. It researches users with qualitative and quantitative methods, contrasts the findings and turns the results into new or redesigned processes. It comes in at the start of the project, because a solution nobody understands does not get used, and one that is not used never returns the value it was paid for.
User research
Qualitative and quantitative studies to understand real behaviors, needs and barriers to use.
Service design
End-to-end redesign of processes and touchpoints, connecting the experience with the operation behind it.
Product and UX/UI design
Information architecture, prototyping, design systems and validation with users before building.
Digital appropriation and adoption
Support grounded in behavioral science so teams take up the new way of working and the change holds over time.
We answer the most common questions about enterprise software development, legacy application modernization, integration with existing systems, cloud migration and user experience design in organizations that cannot stop operating.
When the application still supports the business process well, but its technology limits evolution, integration or the cost of maintenance. Modernizing in stages usually carries less risk and less cost than rebuilding from scratch, especially in critical systems that cannot be stopped.
It is the set of interventions that update a legacy application without losing the business logic it has accumulated: refactoring of the code, replatforming to new platforms or the cloud, version upgrades and frameworks, and selective architectural redesign of the components that constrain the operation most.
With progressive strategies: the system is isolated by domain, capabilities are exposed through APIs, components are migrated in phases and the operation runs in parallel until each cut-over is validated. Every phase has acceptance criteria, a rollback plan and monitoring.
A contained product with a clear scope can be in production in 3 to 6 months. An enterprise platform with multiple integrations and regulatory requirements usually takes 9 to 18 months, delivering value in increments rather than in a single go-live.
By mapping integrations and data contracts from the design stage, defining a layer of APIs and testing flows end to end in production-equivalent environments, with monitoring and traceability for every transaction.
Because a platform nobody understands does not get used, and one that is not used never returns the value it was paid for. In enterprise environments, a poor experience turns into operational errors, rework, informal workarounds and resistance to change. That is why UX/UI design comes in at the start of the project and not at the end.
Adoption is people starting to use the tool; appropriation is them building it into the way they work and sustaining it over time. Appropriation requires understanding behaviors, incentives and barriers, not just running training. Asesoftware works on it through Holistic Strategy Lab, its design unit.
