CHALLENGE

We have developed a mobile application for Agromovil to strengthen the relationship between small farmers, transporters, and buyers. This app offers a set of tools (transport requests, route planning, online payments, etc.) with the aim of promoting trade in fresh produce on a small scale, optimizing routes for transporters, and ensuring fair prices that benefit all participants.

A technological product was designed and developed to digitally transform the tasks of buyers, producers, and transporters.

Solution

A mobile application was designed and developed for Agromovil where:
The most suitable profiles for adopting a mobile application were defined, for which a role with specific functionalities was designed.
In the application, producers post available cargo, and buyers contact them to negotiate.
Transporters choose routes that the system optimizes, ensuring effective product pickups and deliveries, as well as profitable trips.
An open-source routing algorithm (jsprit) and Google’s cost matrix service were implemented.
