CHALLENGE

An IT tool for entities that are part of the National General Budget to register their financial management, enabling them to allocate resources to mission-critical applications.
Centralizing the nation’s public financial information in a database that ensures transparency, standardized management in accordance with regulations, and secure and timely recording, making it an official record.
Implementation of a new Budget Key for the SIIF Nación system to comply with the data management requirements mandated by the nation to meet budgetary regulatory requirements, address information needs, provide flexibility in generating required outputs for data analysis, and interoperate with other processes of Public Financial Management (PFM).

SOLUTION

As a design team, we worked on redesigning the design system, maintaining the original identity of the tool while improving navigation, reducing cognitive load, and standardizing the use of interface components to optimize the user experience.
Additionally, we identified user expectations and pain points to address them effectively.
We ensured the effectiveness in the administration and operation of the SIIF Nación System by allowing standardized management of financial resources, providing reliable information to the Colombian government for decision-making purposes.
